Roxanne Cabañero now jobless, faces P1.6-million lawsuit

Roxanne Cabañero lost her job after filing a rape complaint against Vhong Navarro. She claims she was raped by the actor after her "It's Showtime" guesting with her fellow Miss Bikini Philippines contestants five years ago.

Cabañero said, however, that she was not fired from her job as a paralegal. The company she was working for just opted not to renew her contract anymore.

"It's just that nag-end na 'yung contract ko and I tried to renew it and then they said na... I cannot comment anymore, sorry," the former beauty pageant contestant told ABS-CBN News.

She filed the rape complaint against Navarro on February 19, at the height of the controversy regarding the "It's Showtime" host's mauling inside the condo unit of Deniece Cornejo, who also claimed she was raped by the actor.

Cornejo's rape complaint has recently been dismissed, and she, Cedric Lee, and five others involved in the mauling are now facing arrest warrants in connection with the grave coercion case filed against them by Navarro.

Meanwhile, aside from being jobless, Cabañero is currently facing a P1.6-million lawsuit filed against her by the organizers of Miss Bikini Philippines for damages to the organization's goodwill and business reputation.
