Deniece Cornejo, Cedric Lee gets non-bailable arrest warrants for serious illegal detention

Arrest warrants for model Deniece Cornejo, businessman Cedric Lee and three others were issued by the Taguig Regional Trial Court on Monday, April 21, 2014, in connection with the serious illegal detention case filed by actor-TV host Vhong Navarro.

The Southern Police District (SPD) has received the warrants Monday noon, according to SPD Director Chief Superintendent Jose Erwin Villacorte who was quoted in a radio report.

Aside from Cornejo and Lee, Jed Fernandez, Simeon Raz and Ferdinand Guerrero have also been issued warrants of arrest for serious illegal detention, a non-bailable case.

Not in the list were Cedric Lee's sister, Bernice, and Jose Paolo Calma. All seven of them, however, earlier got warrants for grave coercion.

Calma and Cornejo, reportedly posted bail of P12,000 each for the grave coercion charge on April 16.

Meanwhile, one of the seven is allegedly willing to confess and become a state witness.
