Deniece Cornejo posts bail

Deniece Cornejo, whose rape complaint against Vhong Navarro was dismissed by the court, posted bail on Wednesday for the grave coercion crime she was charged with by the actor.

Arrest warrants were issued for her and six others last week for the bailable crime, which was only one of the charges filed against them by Navarro with regards to the mauling incident inside the condominium unit where Cornejo was staying last January.

The Taguig Metropolitan Trial Court Judge Bernard Pineda Bernal set bail at P12,000 each for Cornejo, siblings Cedric and Bernice Lee, Jed Fernandez, Simeon Raz, Jose Paolo Calma and Ferdinand Guerrero.

Although grave coercion is bailable, Justice Secretary Leila De Lima said they cannot go out of the country without the court's permission. They could be charged with another offense should they fail to comply.
