Vice Ganda is in full support of Anne Curtis in the controversy that the actress is currently facing. Last Sunday, reports came out detailing Anne’s meltdown at a club in Taguig where she slapped other VIP guests including actor John Lloyd Cruz.
In a press conference for the 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry, Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy, lead star Vice Ganda was asked about the issue that his It’s Showtime co-host is involved in.
According to the comedian, he knows how Anne feels because he had been through that before.
Vice went under public criticism when he used the name of GMA Network’s Jessica Soho in a skit that involves a sensitive topic during his I-Vice Ganda Mo Ko! concert earlier this year.
“Nasasaktan [si Anne], alam na alam ko ‘yung pakiramdam na ‘yun kasi galing ako d’yan,” he told ABS-CBN News. “Sabi ko, e, bakla na ‘ko ha matapang na ‘ko, e, lalo ka na babae ka tapos malambot ka hindi ka sanay sa ganyan.”
He also said that Anne knows she made a mistake.
“Alam kong nagkamali si Anne Curtis at si Anne Curtis din naman alam n’yang nagkamali s’ya. Aminado s’ya kaya nga humingi na ng tawad, e,” he said.
As a piece of advice, he tells Anne to just continue being busy and keep on making people happy through their noontime show.
Meanwhile, Vice plays four characters in Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy, just like what the title suggests. Maricel Soriano is also in the movie as well as Gabby Concepcion, Joey Marquez and Ruffa Gutierrez. It is directed by Wenn V. Deramas under Star Cinema and Viva Films.
