Enchong Dee says virginity is important to him

Enchong Dee revealed that virginity is important to him during his guesting in Bandila’s Ikaw Na segment Tuesday night. The Muling Buksan Ang Puso actor, however, was quick to add that he won’t judge anyone based on virginity alone.

“Importante [ang virginity] pero hindi kita huhusgahan kung hindi man ito ‘yung una sa akin o hindi,” he told segment host Boy Abunda.

Loyalty is one of the concepts of his upcoming movie Tuhog which opens in theaters on July 17. He is paired here with Empress Schuck and they play the roles of long distance lovers.

But does he think long distance relationships a problem in this generation?

“Kung nasaan ako ngayon, hindi po, hindi ako naniniwala masyado [na problema ang long distance relationships]… Kasi meron akong mga nakikilala na kahit once every three months lang nagkikita, they love each other so much.”

Meanwhile, he also revealed that he fought for the role of Caloy in Tuhog because of the director (Veronica Velasco) and writer (Jinky Laurel) who also did his first Star Cinema movie, I Do.

“I feel at home with Direk Roni and our writer Ate Jinky. Sa kanila napunta ‘yung una kong pelikula with Star Cinema which is I Do. Gina-guide n’ya ako na parang anak. Ayaw n’ya akong lumabas sa isang eksena o isang pelikula na sasabihin ng taong ‘Lumabas ‘to hindi naman handa,’” he said.

Tuhog is the second offering of Star Cinema for its 20th anniversary celebration. The first one, Four Sisters And A Wedding, also has Enchong in the cast.

Also in the cast of Tuhog are Eugene Domingo, Leo Martinez and Jake Cuenca.
