Jake Ejercito is back in town to help in the election campaign of his father, Joseph Estrada, who is running for mayor in the city of Manila.
The young man who, spends most of the year in London where he studies college, has become controversial for having had an intrigue-worthy relationship with Andi Eigenmann.
He said, however, that he hasn’t met his ex-girlfriend yet since he arrived in the country. “Hindi pa kami nagkikita, kababalik ko lang last week. Busy ako sa pagtulong sa tatay ko,” he said.
The two broke up late last year after Andi’s mom, Jaclyn Jose, insinuated in an interview that Jake’s parents don’t approve of her daughter because she already has a child with another man. Jake and Andi were together while the young actress was pregnant with her child who was allegedly fathered by Albie Casiño.
Rumors about a reconciliation surfaced when Andi visited London last February. The Kapamilya actress, however, said that it was her long-time dream to travel to the city and that she didn’t go there to get back with her ex-flame.
Recently, though, Andi wouldn’t confirm if she did see Jake during her visit to London, but was firm in saying that they haven’t gotten back together.
“I had so much fun. It’s always been my dream to go to London. And I also went to Liverpool because I’m a big Beatles fan so sobrang sarap ng bakasyon ko. I guess I could take this as an opportunity to clear the news, hindi po kami nagkabalikan,” she said.
She also said that she and Jake are still friends after all that’s happened.
“Friends, yes. We are okay, we are fine. But we are not back together. I am happy.”
Meanwhile, Andi’s barkada movie titled Coming Soon will hit theaters this summer. It also stars Glaiza De Castro, Dominic Roco, Carla Humphries, Cholo Barretto and Boy2 Quizon.
