Filipino boxer Brian ‘The Hawaiian Punch’ Viloria was defeated by his Mexican opponent Juan Francisco ‘El Gallo’ Estrada during their Macau fight.
The match was held Saturday night, April 6, 2013, at the Cotai Arena in Venetian Casino and Resort.
Estrada won via split decision, and thereby declared the new WBO and WBA Flyweight Champion. The scores were 115-113 for Viloria, 116-111 for Estrada, and 117-111 for Estrada.
ABS-CBN will air the match a few minutes from now, at 10:15 AM, April 7, in a coverage titled Rambulan Sa Macau.
Viloria’s defeat is such a sad news to his fans and to Pinoys in general, but I’m quite sure that every boxer who goes inside the right to fight do their best to win. We can say that it’s just not his lucky day.
