Sunshine Cruz hinted that she’s setting husband Cesar Montano free in her interview with Dolly Anne Carvajal for Philippine Daily Inquirer (February 20, 2013).
“I just realized I did everything for the man I loved for the past 13 years,” she said. “I fought, lied and cried just to protect the love of my life pero sabi nga nila kung mahal mo ang tao set him free. I'm doing what I think is best. After all, if you feel na hindi na masaya o kontento ang tao sa 'yo, bakit kailangang ipilit?”
The interview was published days after Cesar Montano’s television interview where he belied the rumors that Sunshine threw him out of their house during the height of the controversy that also involved starlet Krista Miller as his alleged other woman.
In The Buzz, Cesar described Krista as just “an actress in the film” The Turning Table: The Untold Story of Alfredo Lim which he directs and stars in.
“She is a good actress,” he told host Boy Abunda. “Maganda ang role niya and I feel sorry about her dahil na-involve siya dito pero kasama siya sa cast ng pelikula. Iyon lang siya.”
He, however, admitted that he and his wife are “in the process of fixing” their marriage and he needs prayers from their real friends.
Meanwhile, on Monday, Sunshine dropped the last name Montano in her Twitter and Instagram handles. From the former @shinemontano, she is now using @sunshinecruz77.
She also said in the same Inquirer interview that if her life would be made into a movie, she would give it the title ‘I Loved You, Goodbye.’
