Cesar Montano breaks silence regarding third party controversy

Weeks after being involved in the controversy, Cesar Montano broke his silence to tell everyone that he is still living under one roof with wife Sunshine Cruz and that the alleged third party is no more than an actress in the movie that he directs and stars in at the same time.

In an interview that aired in The Buzz on Sunday, February 17, Cesar said he was not thrown out of the house by his wife. He said he stayed in two hotels during the height of the controversy because he had to for work.

“Nagshu-shooting ako at hindi umuwi ng two days because I lived in Manila Hotel for one day and I lived in Bayview for one day,” Cesar told host Boy Abunda. “Doon ako nagshu-shooting. I never left the house. Kailangan ko lang matulog sa [hotel]. Everybody knows that dahil ang call ko ay maaga and it was 12 midnight na.”

Many believe that he decided to talk now because the said movie, The Turning Cradle: The Untold Story of Alfredo Lim, will open in theaters nine days from now. But the actor/director denied that he’s using the controversy to promote the movie.

“I don't want to promote my film that way,” he said. “Ipagyayabang ko siya ayon sa kagandahan ng pelikula, hindi yung gagawa ako ng kuwento na iiskandaluhin ko ang pribado kong buhay at idadamay ko pa ang pamilya ko,” he said.

Krista Miller, the actress who was rumored to be his other woman, plays the role of Marita Zaragoza in the movie. But who is Krista in his life?

“She is an actress in the film. She is a good actress. Maganda ang role niya and I feel sorry about her dahil na-involve siya dito pero kasama siya sa cast ng pelikula. Iyon lang siya.”

Regarding his marriage, he admitted that he and Sunshine are “in the process of fixing it.” and that he needs prayers from their real friends who believe in their marriage.

“I love my family, I love Sunshine so much. I believe in our family. I will never do anything to hurt my family. I want to close my eyes with my family,” he said.

The Turning Cradle: The Untold Story of Alfredo Lim opens in theaters on February 27, 2013.
