TV5’s Kanta Pilipinas has revealed the first batch of hopefuls that advanced to the next level of the competition during last Saturday’s episode.
Six made it to the cut, but six other contestants went home sad.
Those who made it include Filipino-American singer Timmy Pavino, Filipino-Spanish Thara Jordana, the group 5az1, brother and sister act Nicole and Carlo David, Davao native Dea Formilleza, and the visually impaired Allan Gonzales.
The first six of the Top 12 was chosen by judges Ryan Cayabyab, Lani Misalucha, and Rico Blanco who also hosts the show.
My personal favorite, YouTube star Isaiah Antonio, didn’t make the cut. He remained positive despite the loss, though, taking to Twitter to say: “i learned a lot from this experience. ill be able to use it next time, and ill be even better!”
He also thanked his supporters by saying, “Thanks for all your support everyone!!! I appreciate it. Im glad a lot of you love my performance!”
