“T.G.I.S.” starring Jeric Gonzales and Thea Tolentino premieres this December

This is the cast of the new T.G.I.S., the comeback of the popular teen-oriented show of GMA-7 in the 90s. With their hands covering their faces, we can still spot Protege winners Jeric Gonzales and Thea Tolentino from the picture.

What excites fans of the original show, however, is that Angelu de Leon and Bobby Andrews will be reprising their old roles for this new one. And judging from the picture above, they still look good together and will still make some fans excited.

In contrast to the 90s show which aired Saturdays, the comeback will air Sundays after Party Pilipinas beginning December 16. The show, then, will be called Thank God It’s Sunday replacing the original meaning of S which was Saturday.

Original directors Mark Reyes and Dominic Zapata will still direct the show so we can expect the same (if not more) kilig that the original show offered.

The cast will be in Startalk this Saturday and will be formally launched on November 16 in Party Pilipinas.

There’s actually a clamor for some of Eat Bulaga!’s Mr. Pogi finalists to be in the show. Let’s just wish the network will sign some of them up even just for this one.

Meanwhile, take a look at the original cast of T.G.I.S. in the photo below courtesy of fb.com/OfficialFanPageofTGIS.

Angelu didn’t seem to age, while Bobby looked like he just put on some facial hairs in the first photo.
