Aquino said they are just really good friends who can keep each other's secrets.
"I think it's safe to say we are really good friends and nag-reconnect kami," she said. "Happy kami to be good friends and to be with each other and to keep each other company and to keep each other’s secrets."
The actress-TV host also revealed that she was touched when Ramsay defended her from the rumors saying that she is just using him.
"Alam mo ang sinabi nga niya sa ‘kin was that may mga nagsasabi niyan na ginagamit ko siya dahil may pinagtatakpan daw ako and na-touch ako sa sinabi niya na she’s Kris Aquino bakit ko siya gagamitin and he’s Derek Ramsay bakit niya ko gagamitin sa level naman ng hotness niya hindi niya ko kailangan at sa laki naman ng kontrata niya ngayon ano pa bang maidudulot ko sa buhay niya. We’re friends and siguro ano nasabi ko to before na sino bang magkakagusto na ganun kagwapo boyfriend mo eh hindi ka na magta-trabaho dahil magbabantay ka na lang pero kung ganun ka-gwapo yung pwede mong i-best friend bakit hindi," she said.
Talks about Aquino and Ramsay started with the former's Instagram post where she gave a shout out to the Kapatid star.

It's the first time Aquino and Bautista were seen together on TV since they started to be romantically linked some three weeks back.
The two were cool enough to joke around on national TV, with the mayor even calling the host "baliw" and joking about having "two mayors in one day" pertaining to the earlier visit of Makati Mayor Junjun Binay in the same taping.
