Anne Curtis stung by box jellyfish, now in hospital

Anne Curtis was stung by a box jellyfish while taping for ABS-CBN's Dyesebel Wednesday night.

Anne Curtis

The actress and TV host was immediately rushed to hospitals in San Juan, Batangas, as well as in Lipa. She was eventually sent to St. Luke's in Taguig where her condition is currently being monitored.

According to reports, Curtis didn't want to be brought to the hospital despite the obvious pain she was feeling. She didn't want to be the production's cause of delay.

Here's the statement released by Dreamscape Entertainment Television:
She was rushed to 3 hospitals within the San Juan, Batangas area and then in Lipa City and then St. Lukes. Super rashes all over her body. And writhing in extreme pain.
She was even worried yesterday as staff rushed her to the hospitals na baka ma-delay ang taping and siya ang reason and she kept saying na kakayanin pa niya kahit na nakikita na nila na she was in agony.
And she wishes to say maraming salamat sa lahat ng nag-pray for her recovery and sending her messages and posting get well soon messages in social media.
Meanwhile, Curtis took to Twitter to express her appreciation to all her well-wishers.
Morning everyone. Just read all your 'Get well soon' messages. Last night was my first time to be stung by a jellyfish, a box jellyfish
Currently in St. Luke's so they can monitor my jellyfish sting/rash & most importantly the rhythm of my heart...
Been reading up on the box jellyfish and I'm lucky it wasn't fatal. This summer be careful when swimming in the ocean keep and eye out.
I can now sincerely say, lahat ng puyat, pawis, dugo at jellyfish bites makes it all worth it, dahil sa supporta binibigay nyo sa Dyesebel.
