Vice Ganda retuns to "It's Showtime," denies paying for Best Actor win

Vice Ganda returned to It's Showtime on Wednesday after doing a concert tour in the U.S. It marked the first time since January that the hosts of the noontime show are complete.

It was also the first time that Vice was able to thank on live TV his controversial Best Actor win at the PMPC Star Awards for Movies.

On Monday, a day after the Star Awards ceremony, showbiz reporter Jobert Sucaldito posted a series of messages on the internet saying the comedian's win was paid.

"Nung nabasa ko natawa lang ako, tapos tumahimik ako," Vice said in It's Showtime.

He went on to thank the PMPC for believing in his acting abilities. It was his first acting award.

"Gusto ko magpasalamat sa PMPC Star Awards for my first acting trophy.

The PMPC has already denied the alleged vote-buying at the Star Awards through a statement.

"We strongly refute the said allegation. The voting members gave their utmost trust and confidence to the winners in their respective categories, thereby making the results final uncontestable and sacred," part of the statement said.
