Mary Jean Lastimosa is Miss Universe Philippines 2014!

Mary Jean Lastimosa was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2014 during the Binibining Pilipinas 2014 pageant held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sunday, March 30. Last year's winner and Miss Universe 2013 3rd runner-up Ariella Arida crowned her, together with Miss Universe 2013 Gabriela Isler who is currently in the country for a cause.

Lastimosa bested 39 other beautiful girls to the much-coveted title and the chance to represent the country to the Miss Universe 2014 pageant.

Four other candidates won beauty titles as well and they will be representing the Philippines in the international pageants of their respective crowns:

Bb. Pilipinas International - Bianca Guidotti
Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental - Kris Tiffany Janson
Bb. Pilipinas Supranational - Yvethe Santiago
Bb. Pilipinas Tourism - Parul Shah

Last year's batch of winners produced two international crowns - Mutya Datul won Miss Supranational 2013 and Bea Rose Santiago bagged the Miss International 2013 title.

Will this year's batch be as successful as last year's, or better yet, will they bring home more international crowns?

Meanwhile, the 1st runner-up was Laura Lehmann, and the 2nd runner-up was Hannah Ruth Sison.

Also part of the Top 15 were Julia Flores, Joanna Romero, Pia Wurtzbach, Nichole Manalo, Zahara Soriano, Emma Mary Tiglao, Kenneth Santiago and Mae Lizel Ramos.

The ceremony was hosted by Kapamilya stars Anne Curtis and Xian Lim, together with Miss Universe 2010 4th runner-up Venus Raj, Miss Universe 2011 3rd runner-up Shamcey Supsup, and Miss Universe 2012 1st runner-up Janine Tugonon.
