'Starting Over Again' breaches P400-M mark

Starting Over Again has already breached the P400-million mark in the local box-office.

The news was revealed by Mico del Rosario, Star Cinema's advertising and promotions manager, on his Instagram account.


"JUST IN: #StartingOverAgain has breached the P400Million mark at the domestic box office making this film one of the highest grossing movies of all time! Also: the movie is now the HIGHEST GROSSING MOVIE Filipino movie in the international box office!!! To God Be The Glory! maraming salamat po sa inyong suporta!" he posted Saturday afternoon.

The Piolo Pascual and Toni Gonzaga starrer is now one of the highest-grossing Filipino movies of all time and is poised to surpass the P427-million made by the 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry, Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy, which currently holds the record of being the most successful Pinoy movie in the box-office.

Starting Over Again was also successful abroad as it is now the highest-grossing Pinoy movie in the international box-office.

Also, the movie has broken the box-office records of its lead stars as well as its director, Olivia M. Lamasan.

Opening on February 12 as Star Cinema's Valentine offering, the movie is still showing in 270 cinemas nationwide and in select cinemas in the U.S.
