Piolo Pascual to star in TV series with Iza Calzado

Piolo Pascual will soon star in a teleserye with his Starting Over Again co-star Iza Calzado.

He will play the role of a frustrated musician in the upcoming Kapamilya series who will fight for his right to adopt the kids of his departed sibling.

Pascual almost quit showbiz, though. He only changed his mind when Starting Over Again, which also starred Toni Gonzaga, did extremely well in the box-office, even breaching the P400-million mark recently.

Prduced by Star Cinema and directed by Olivia M. Lamasan, it is now in the list of the highest grossing Filipino movies of all time.

Currently, the movie is also the most successful Pinoy movie in international box-office after it did well in cinemas abroad, particularly in the United States.

With the new teleserye he is doing, his followers can be assured that he's not quitting showbiz anytime soon.

And as per the video shown on TV Patrol Monday night, Pascual also went shirtless for the new soap.

The scene was nothing sexy, though, as it was a fun scene where he was playing with the kids at the river.
