Cherie Gil says Eric John Salut 'twisted the truth'

Cherie Gil took to Twitter Friday afternoon to say that ABS-CBN's advertising and promotions head Eric John Salut has twisted the truth.

"You have completely twisted the truth @ericjohnsalut  I rest my case. There's nothing more to be said," Gil posted on her Twitter account.

The veteran actress' message came a day after Salut's Facebook and Twitter posts that says Gil walked out of the set of  Kapamilya Network's Ikaw Lamang after not being allowed to leave early to attend a send-off party.

"Cherie Gil is supposed shoot her scenes till 2AM (the usual cut off) but she wanted to leave at 10 PM to attend a send off party. Siyempre, hindi siya pinayagan ng production kasi hindi siya nagpaalam ahead of time. She was permitted to a 2-week leve for her musical play. The day she walked out of the taping was the day she resumed taping for Ikaw Lamang," Salut posted Thursday night.

He also said the production team should not be blamed.

"Why blame the production? Why blame the writers? This is not fair! Teka lang ha," he added.

Gil talked about work ethics on her Twitter post Wednesday night, saying such doesn't exist in the world of soap operas.

"Work ethics ? Why can't it exist in the world of soaps? Sadly it doesn't. There must be a better way," she posted.

Salut answered it also on Twitter Thursday night, saying: "2AM ang cut off mo, dahil may party gusto mong umalis ng 10PM? Nasaan ang work ethics na sinasabi mo?"

Then he again defended the production staff of Ikaw Lamang: "It pains me everytime production and creative staff members are blamed! Sila na lang lagi? Sila na lang lagi ang walang work ethics?"

Gil claims Salut twisted the truth, which makes one wonder what really happened. Sadly, the actress seems not willing to talk about it anymore. As she mentioned in her post, she rests her case and "there's nothing more to be said."
