Viva releases statement regarding the Anne Curtis slapping incident

Viva Entertainment, which manages Anne Curtis’ showbiz career, has released a statement regarding the controversial slapping incident that the actress got involved in on the early morning of November 23.

Reports say Anne had a meltdown while partying at Prive Luxury Bar in Taguig and slapped magazine editor JR Isaac, Globe executive Leah De Guzman, and actor John Lloyd Cruz.

According to Viva, what happened was a private thing which has already been settled before it hit the news.

“The Prive incident involving Anne Curtis is a private matter between Anne and the people involved. The incident has been settled by the parties days before the article on the incident was published. We hope the public will respect the decision of the parties to amicably settle the incident among themselves,” said Viva, as quoted by pep.ph.

According to succeeding reports, Anne got mad when someone pulled a prank on her. It was allegedly John Lloyd who banged on the toilet door nonstop. That and having too much to drink resulted into the slapping incident.

Anne reportedly apologized immediately to the parties involved. She had been seen hugging JM Rodriguez, Prive co-owner who also received some harsh words from Anne during the incident, at an event a few days ago. Phoemela Baranda also denied the rumors that Anne wanted to buy her, her friends and the club, and said she and Anne are okay. JR, who got slapped, also said he harbors no hard feelings for Anne.

Anne also took to Twitter to apologize to her fans for letting them down.
