Charice denied the rumors that she lost a contract worth P100-million after she came out as a lesbian.
In an interview with Kris TV that was aired Thursday morning, the international singer said that there’s no truth to that. However, she admitted that she indeed lost some contracts but that had nothing to do with her sexual preference as it happened before her The Buzz interview where she confessed that she’s a lesbian.
The reason behind the lost contracts was her change of management, but according to her, “that’s another issue.”
As talented as she is, Charice proved that she will not be without work. As a matter of fact, she’s flying to the U.S. later this month for some projects. She’s not quite vocal with the specifics but it was earlier reported that she will record a song for an animated movie.
Come August, she will also sing the U.S. National Anthem in a big event that will be televised. She also wouldn’t say what event it is but she showed host Kris Aquino a text message about it. Kris then reacted: “Bongga, Ipagdasal natin 'yan at lahat kami ay mapa-proud sa iyo. I'm not gonna say anything but it celebrates equality.”
Based on Kris’ reaction, it could be the Women’s Equality Day on August 26, celebrating the 19th amendment to the constitution that grants women the right to vote.
Meanwhile, it was in the same interview that Charice’s girlfriend Alyssa Quijano broke her silence about their controversial relationship. Read about it here: http://theultimatefan.blogspot.com/2013/07/alyssa-quijano-talks-about-relationship.html
