Solenn Heussaff is facing a tax evasion charge for filing an incorrect income tax return for 2011.
The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) filed the case against the model-actress on Thursday before the Department of Justice.
According to BIR, their investigation showed Solenn received income payments amounting to P13.38 million for that year. She only declared a gross income of P6.73 million and a taxable income of P3.3 million.
The underdeclaration is more than 30% and is an evidence of faud. The bureau assessed her deficiency tax liability at P3.6 million.
Meanwhile, Solenn took to Twitter to say that she’s an honest person and that it wasn’t her fault, putting the blame on her accountant, Teofilo C. Magno Jr., who she trusted so much.
