The University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJR) in Cebu City did not expel the girl in the scandal video that has spread online. The university is even allowing her to graduate this semester.
The president of USJR Rev. Fr. Enrico Peter Silab said that the university is allowing the girl in the video to graduate provided she completes her requirements and comply with necessary procedures for graduation.
In the said video, the 24-year-old HRM student is shown in very intimate moments with a man who is reportedly her ex-boyfriend. She is also seen wearing her USJR uniform and even her ID.
It began to spread among cellphone users in Cebu in January and was eventually uploaded on the internet and became widespread online. The video was reportedly in the cellphone of the ex-boyfriend seen in the video, but it went out as the unit was stolen two years ago.
The girl in the video is said to be a scholar of USJR and a Dean’s Lister as well. As academically intelligent as she is, however, she was wrong in allowing her then boyfriend to videotape their intimate moments.
She’s just so lucky that her school didn’t condemn the act and expel her. The institution even thought about her and her fellow USJR students’ welfare because reportedly, they are advised not to wear their uniforms to avoid being bullied. IDs are also said to be checked not in the gate but inside the campus already.
Sad thing, though, because the line “Miss, i-USJR mo ako” is allegedly becoming popular in Cebu to bully the female students of the university.
