Three male Kapamilya stars are being rumored to transfer to the Kapuso Network soon and they are Jason Abalos, John Manalo and Christian Bautista.
Jason and John may have some obvious reasons for transferring, but what surprised everyone was Christian’s decision to move, if ever the rumors were true, that is.
The singer is very visible on television with his being a regular performer in ASAP. He was also seen acting as part of the cast of the recently-concluded Princess And I. Could GMA-7 have better offers?
Christian will follow the move done by former ASAP singers Rachelle Ann Go and Mark Bautista. The three used to sing together in the Sunday musical variety show. Will they be singing together again, and this time in Party Pilipinas?
Meanwhile, Jason’s last series was the afternoon soap Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Lumayo Ka Man Sa Akin which ran from January to May 2012. In the same year, he also appeared in an episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya.
John, on the other hand, was partnered with Julia Montes in Mara Clara, but he was left aside when the young actress was given a launching movie. Perhaps it was because of his height and his pimples, but they could have just sent him to the derma and paired him with a shorter teen actress but he was not given a regular teleserye after Mara Clara ended in June 2011. Last year, though, he appeared in three MMK episodes, and guest roles in Oka2kat and Princess And I.
If these three would indeed transfer to GMA-7, will their star shine brighter indeed? Remains to seen.
