Carla Abellana stars in this Saturday’s, February 16, episode of Magpakailanman with boyfriend Geoff Eigenmann.
The post-Valentine presentation of the drama anthology is a story of the undying love between a lupus patient and the man who loved her and gave her a second chance in life.
It’s nice to see Carla back to acting on television, albeit just for an episode. Her Mrs. Snow White has already been shelved and rumors say it was due to production costs.
Carla, however, denied the rumors and said that it was something else.
“Hindi naman sa masyadong mahal, pero nahihirapan sila sa pag-execute ng
show itself,” the pretty Kapuso star said. “’Yung vision ni Direk Mark Reyes sana, ultimo yung costumes, mga prosthetics, lahat, talagang malaki. Malaking project siya. Mahirap i-execute.”
So GMA-7 decided to discontinue the project?
“Siguro sabi ng GMA, hindi pa ito ang time para maglabas ng ganoong project. Kailangang paghandaan nang mabuti, e, medyo pressed for time na rin kami.”
But fans of Carla need not be sad. The network has a new project for her and it’s said to be a primetime drama. The thing is, the said project still needs to wait for a primetime slot.
“Wala pang matatapos sa primetime, ‘yong Pahiram ng Sandali pa lang yata ang first,” Carla explained. “Siguro, kailangan ko lang maghintay ng bakanteng slot.”
She also said that the series doesn’t have a title yet but she already knows who her co-stars will be. She refused to give out names but hinted that it would be her first time to work with her leading man.
