Phil Younghusband denied the rumors that romantically links him to KC Concepcion.
On his official Twitter account, Phil answered a question from a follower who asked if he and KC are dating.
“Admit it! What is true between @PhilYHusband abd @kc_concepcion? Are you two dating?” asked Twitter user @zhowiggles.
The 26-year-old Philppine Azkals striker answered the tweet with:
“@zhowiggles No truth to the rumour. I only met KC once and I was with angel for a buzz interview a long time ago. Hope this ends the chismis”
Rumors about Phil and KC’s budding romance came almost immediately after the athlete and actress Angel Locsin have confirmed their separation.
In a recent interview, Angel said she wants to give it the benefit of the doubt but said the romance between Phil and KC, if it was true, came a little too soon.
Meanwhile, it’s a little easy to link Phil with KC romantically because he first had a crush on her before Angel. But KC had Piolo Pascual that time and Phil’s being open about his crush on KC prompted Piolo to make his relationship with KC public. Phil then turned his attention to Angel, asking her out on Twitter for a date on Valentine’s Day last 2011. They became a couple more than a year after that first tweet, and separated less than a year and a half after.
