It was a very meaningful Holy Week for Cristine Reyes and her older sister Ara Mina because the two have reportedly reconciled during the religious holiday.
The problem of the half-sisters started going public when Ara Mina filed libel and grave coercion charges against Cristine at the Quezon City Regional Trial Court on April 18, 2012. The dispute stemmed from disagreements over the remaining balance for a house the two bought for their mother.
Two months after, Cristine apologized to Ara over The Buzz but the latter found it insincere.
After almost a year since the charges were filed, the two reconciled over the Holy Week, a holiday that Catholics celebrate to commemorate how Jesus Christ died on the cross to save the humanity from sins.
On her official Twitter account, Cristine posted the above photo on Monday, April 1, 2013, showing her and Ara hugging each other. The caption reads: “With the gift of listening comes the gift of healing. #appointedtime #blood #forgiveness #sisters #happiness”
Meanwhile, Ara also posted another shot of the two of them on her Instagram account almost the same time as when Cristine posted. It had the caption: “Just like the rainbow after the rain. A good thing will always happen after you experience the pain. #sisters #blood #forgiveness #happiness #reunited”
Then a couple of hours later, Ara further posted a photo of her with Cristine and the rest of their family complete with their parents, brothers and sisters, and captioned it with: “Happy together again ❤ @queencristinereyes @heidigatmaytan @girbaud24 @holyking09 #family #love #gift #blessing”
