The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has put GMA-7’s Sunday musical variety program Party Pilipinas on a six-month probation due to the “sexually-charged scenes” in the episode aired January 27.
The said scenes were actually a long production number of some of the show’s regulars including Yesterday’s Bride lead stars Lovi Poe and Rocco Nacino, Jay-R, Mark Bautista, Glaiza de Castro and a lot more.
Some of the choreography were so suggestive but it was the part where Lovi and Rocco had to simulate making love on a bed, plus their aerial dance, that have perhaps gotten the attention of MTRCB.
I have to personally admit that Rocco’s gyrations on the inclined bed were so sexually suggestive that it cannot really be acceptable to be shown in a noontime TV show.
MTRCB demands that the Kapuso Network air and publish their apology, and that responsible officers, director and producer of Party Pilipinas undergo gender sensitivity training.
Here are the messages posted by MTRCB on its official Twitter account early Friday, Feb. 8, 2013:
