As of 1:00 AM of November 8, 2013, Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) was located at 170km East Southeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar (10.5°N, 127.2°E) with maximum sustained winds of 225 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 260 kph.
Yolanda is expected to landfall in Guiuan between 5 and 6 AM of Friday. By nighttime, it will already be over Coron, Palawan on its way out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
Meanwhile, Public Storm Warning Signal (PSWS) No. 4 is now raised over 12 areas in the Visayas region. The storm is so wide that even the National Capital Region (NCR) is placed under Signal No. 1.

Typhoon Yolanda or Haiyan (its international name) is reportedly the biggest typhoon 2013 has yet experienced. A lot of the residents in the areas under the path of Typhoon Yolanda have already evacuated even before the rain started. Classes in areas reported to experience heavy rains have also been suspended.
