The nominees for the 16th annual Möet British Independent Film Awards (BIFAs) has been revealed and a movie about a life in Metro Manila gets five nominations out of eighteen categories.
Directed by Sean Ellis, Metro Manila is about the struggles of a family searching for a better life in the metro.
The film is vying for Best Film and Best Achievement in Production, Ellis for Best Director, and local actors John Arcilla and Jake Macapagal for Best Supporting Actor and Most Promising Newcomer respectively.
Awards night happens on December 8 at Old Billinsgate, London.
