The TAPE-produced Eat Bulaga! can be watched in Indonesia starting today, July 16, 2012… as a new franchise!
Indonesia’s Surya Citra Televisi (SCTV) has acquired a franchise of the 33-year-old noontime show, and it’s the first time for a Philippine television program to be franchised. Ever!
The Indonesian version of Eat Bulaga! will be hosted by Uya Kuya, Farid Aja, Reza Bukan, Ramzi, Narrji, Ciripa, Rian Ibram, Rio Indrawan, Steven, Leo Consul, Selena Alexandria, Jenny Tan, Bianca Lizza and Christie Julie.
While SCTV will format the show in a way fit for Indonesian audiences, their Eat Bulaga! will also have talent searches, games and segments that will give the viewers a chance to win cash and other prizes.
We can now say that Eat Bulaga! has come to a higher level in terms of being a successful television program. Running for 33 straight years alone is an achievement in itself, but to be the first Philippine TV program to be franchised by another country puts it in a way higher level that will be hard to even equal by other shows.
