Brod Pete makes everyone laugh at Dolphy’s wake

Brod Pete was among those who gave their eulogies to Dolphy during the last night of the Comedy King’s wake.

Pete used his gift of comedy to bring laughter, and tears, to everyone present.

Born Herman “Isko” Salvador, he was said to be the favorite writer of Dolphy. Their working relationship, however, started out in John en Marsha where Pete was a regular extra playing the suitor of Maricel Soriano’s character Shirley, the daughter of John (Dolphy) and Marsha (Nida Blanca).

He was among the writers of Dolphy’s shows including Gabi Ni Dolphy, Plaza 1899, Home Along Da Riles, John and Shirley, and Dolphy’s last television project, Pidol’s Wonderland.
