Bea Alonzo will take a break from doing teleseryes for a while to concentrate on her movie with Star Cinema.
Her last television series was A Beautiful Affair which was her reunion series with John Lloyd Cruz for their love team's tenth anniversary. ABS-CBN ended it, however, after just three months and rumors said it was because of the show's poor ratings.
But Bea said she's not a bit affected by the rumors.
"Unang-una, we’re doing our job well," she told Pep.ph. "And parang, we just came from a movie that did so well. Parang ganun lang naman siguro talaga 'yun. I mean, I’m sure everyone had their own good intentions, but it just didn’t... maybe it didn’t measure up or something."
The actress also cited John Lloyd's schedule as one of the many reasons why the show ended immediately.
"John Lloyd is doing a movie with Sarah Geronimo. So medyo nakaapekto rin 'yun, kasi we were always hand-to-mouth eh. We were taping hand-to-mouth, so laging for airing. So nagiging problema rin 'yung schedule niya."
But then she also thought the story was better that way than making it more complicated just to stretch its airing.
Meanwhile, she will soon be busy with the said Star Cinema movie which also has Angel Locsin, Toni Gonzaga, Shaina Magdayao and Enchong Dee in the cast.
