Star Magic says Gerald Anderson is NOT the reason behind Maricel Soriano's shouting fit

The press statement released by Star Magic belied the rumors that Gerald Anderson, nor his acting capabilities, was the reason behind Maricel Soriano's shouting fit last week during the taping of Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin.

The statement was released through ABS-CBN's Corporate Communications Head Bong Osorio. It reads:

Star Magic has the utmost confidence not only in Gerald Anderson’s exceptional ability as an actor, but also in his unassailable personal character and professional behavior. The incidents that led to the removal of Maricel from Gerald’s latest telenovela were not provoked or instigated by Gerald in any manner.

It supported the statement released last night by the Kapamilya Network that said Maricel will no longer be part of the upcoming series due to an unfortunate incident that transpired between her and Gerald.

Everyone is waiting, however, for the confirmation that Dawn Zulueta will be Maricel's replacement in the series. The network is yet to release a statement regarding that.
