Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy was supposed to start shooting today, February 12th, but was postponed because Vice Ganda, the movie’s lead star, recently had flu and was confined.

Maricel Soriano has personal conflicts; camp appeals for understanding

Maricel Soriano’s camp appealed for people to give the Diamond Star more understanding regarding the controversial outburst she had in the set of Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin that caused her removal from the series.

The actress snapped and shouted at Gerald Anderson because he allegedly couldn’t act right in a scene with her. However, Star Magic supported the actor by saying they had “the utmost confidence not only in Gerald Anderson’s exceptional ability as an actor, but also in his unassailable personal character and professional behavior.”

ABS-CBN confirms Maricel Soriano has been removed from “Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin”

ABS-CBN has released an official statement regarding the Gerald Anderson and Maricel Soriano controversy through Corporate Communications Head Bong R. Osorio.

The statement confirmed that there was really an “unfortunate incident” that happened between Gerald and Maricel, although the short message didn’t say if it was really a shouting incident and what caused the rift.

Gerald Anderson and Maricel Soriano were recently rumored to have had a bad encounter in the set of their upcoming television series which may result in the cancellation of the ABS-CBN project.

The rumor started in a blind item that said an actor and a superstar were having problems in the set of the teleserye they’re making, and eventually, the names of Gerald and Maricel popped up. Maricel Soriano is coming back on television acting via the upcoming Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin which is scheduled for release next year.

The South Luzon hopefuls of Protégé: The Battle for the Big Artista Break recently tested their acting skills via a short film with Diamond Star Maricel Soriano.

Jeric Gonzales, Thea Tolentino and Arny Ross exerted their best dramatic acting skills in the story titled Nang Managinip Si Stella Maris. The short was was written by Floy Quintos and directed by Brillante Mendoza.

The Mega Manila team mentored by Roderick Paulate did a great job in portraying each of their roles. And, of course, Maricel wouldn’t be the Diamond Star if she doesn’t shine even in the simplest of roles.

Maricel Soriano joins cast of Jose and Wally-starrer “Ikaw Na, Da Best Ka”

Maricel Soriano will have a special guest appearance in the upcoming comedy movie Ikaw Na, Da Best Ka which is topbilled by the tandem of Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola.

The Diamond Star was last seen on the big screen via last year’s drama Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow. She hasn’t done much comedy films for quite some time and her fans will surely delight that she’s included in this movie, although just in a small role.
