Privé co-owner JM Rodriguez won’t talk about the “Anne Curtis incident” in his club which involved the slapping of John Lloyd Cruz and two others.
In a text message to News5, he said they respect the privacy of their customers.
Privé is a club that respects the privacy of all the celebrities, models, VIPs that patronize our establishment. This is why we are called PRIVÈ . So this is the last we will comment on the matter. Because as mentioned the incident happened almost half a month ago and all parties have settled their issues privately.
Anne was said to be hosting a private party in the VIP section of the club in the wee hours of November 23. She didn’t have the whole area to herself and her friends, though. And somewhere near their private party, the group of celebrities John Lloyd Cruz, Jake Cuenca and Phoemela Barranda, together with Circuit magazine publisher and editor JR Isaac, Leah de Guzman, JM Rodriguez and some of their friends were also partying.
Thing was, the VIP section shares a common toilet and one has to pass by the private party of Anne to go there.
At one point, Anne, from the toilet, was heard shouting “Who’s banging my door?”
She was then seen going out of the toilet and then slapped JR Isaac,Leah de Guzman and John Lloyd Cruz, while shouting at the top of her lungs.
She was even quoted as shouting to John Lloyd: “You are an addict!”
The actor, meanwhile, reportedly behaved like a gentleman.
Anne then turned to Phoemela and said, “You, what are you doing here?” while pointing her finger to Phoem’s face.
The worst, Anne was heard yelling, “I can buy you, your friends, and this club!” to Phoem.
Commotion then followed, and Anne was eventually escorted out of the club.
JR told Pep.ph that he didn’t know how to retaliate. Aside from being shocked, he’s not used to that kind of situation.
They then stayed and partied like nothing had happened after Anne left. He also revealed he received a text message from Anne the following day saying:
JR! It’s Anne. Got your number from Monique! Tried messaging you on Facebook this morning. Just want to apologize for my behavior! I’m so so so sorry. I’m so ashamed :( would never act like that in the right state of mind! I’m so sorry. Please forgive me!
JR then replied:
Hi Anne, just woke up and read your text. Apology accepted… On a lighter note, you owe me a tight hug!!! Going back to sleep, nursing my hang over.
JR and Anne know each other from way back. They were batchmates in Metro Body Shots, he even escorted her once in an event and she became a Circuit cover girl. Their last meeting before that incident was in Boracay two years ago in a Century Tuna event.
