Marian Rivera confirmed that her leading man in her next television series is indeed Alden Richards. The two has a 9-year age gap but it doesn’t show as much and they still look good together just like in this photo:
The Kapuso Primetime Queen confirmed the team-up on Wednesday, during her launch as the 2014 calendar girl of Ginebra San Miguel. It was her second time to pose for the brand’s calendar. Her first was in 2009.
Marian also revealed that the cameras will start rolling for her upcoming soap as soon as next week, so that means we get to see her on primetime TV soon.
To be directed by Dominic Zapata, Marian described the still untitled soap as one of the heaviest drama in her career so far. It was the reason why she decided to postpone the sitcom she was supposed to do. According to her, she talked to the bosses to request not to do the drama series and the sitcom at the same time.
“Nakiusap po ako na huwag na silang pagsabayin dahil masyadong madugo po yung soap ko,” she said.
Dominic was the director of the hit My Husband’s Lover. He also directed Marian’s last soap, Temptation Of Wife, where she played Angeline. It was that role that Marian got nominated in for Best Actress at the 18th Asian Television Awards (2013).
