Sarah Lahbati once again took to Twitter to air her side of the story regarding the controversy with GMA-7.
In her tweets posted earlier today, the Filipino-Moroccan actress accused Atty. Annette Gozon-Abrogar and Arsi Baltazar, GMA Artist Center head executives, of protecting ICONS talent management which does “under the table deals” with GMA Artist Center.
Sarah is a homegrown talent of the network. 25% of her salary goes to GMA. She said that one day, she was offered by Gozon-Abrogar and Baltazar to sign a co-management contract with ICONS in exchange for the promise of projects and endorsements. The catch is, ICONS will deduct another 15% from her salary.
The actress and her parents declined the offer because they didn’t know the people who run ICONS. With that offer, however, they thought it’s okay to sign with other talent management companies to co-manage her career, reason why she did sign with Royal Artists, a talent management company owned by Annabelle Rama, mom of her boyfriend and fellow Kapuso celebrity Richard Gutierrez.
But then after a few days, the network told her to void her contract with Rama or they would file a lawsuit against her.
The feature aired by H.O.T. TV on Sunday was one-sided, claimed Sarah. She said it was clearly done to sabotage her and made the network look clean.
