Derek Ramsay admitted that he and Cristine Reyes were indeed seen in public but denied that he’s the third party in the Cristine-Rayver Cruz break-up.
Cristine and Rayver announced in The Buzz on Sunday that the break-up happened last year but they are still friends. When asked if there was a third party involved, the two denied it.
Cristine specifically denied that Derek was the cause of the break-up. She, though, admitted that she hangs out with the Kidlat actor.
Derek confirmed it by telling interaksyon.com about those two times they were seen in public together. The first time was when they accidentally met in Batangas during a long weekend. He was with his family while the Kapamilya actress was with her friends. The second one, meanwhile, happened during a night-out with friends at The Fort. It happened December when Cristine and Rayver have already broken up.
Derek also said that his friendship with Cristine started in 2011’s No Other Woman, the blockbuster movie where the two played husband and wife.
Their friendship, however, was described as “weird” by the Kapatid actor. “We have a very weird relationship because everytime na I call to check up on her, sasagot ‘yan na ‘Ano? Mang eepal ka na naman?’” he told the website, but added that that’s just how they were with each other.
And since the rumors were not true, Derek just shrugged it off and said he won’t let it affect his friendship with Cristine.
