Christian Bautista was awarded a Platinum Record Award on the July 1 episode of ASAP 2012 for the outstanding sales of his album First Class: Outbound Expanded Edition.
Universal Records General Manager Kathleen Dy-Go was there to give him the plaque.
The Asiansation recently released the music video of Sasabihin, his collaboration with the 80s band Neocolours. The single is from the same platinum album that marks his 10th anniversary in the music industry.
Christian was also awarded the Male Artist Of The Year award at the recently-held 3rd Tambayan OPM Awards (2012). He beat other nominees to the award including Erik Santos and Sam Milby.
Meanwhile, Christian’s 10th anniversary special titled The Way You Look at Me: The Christian Bautista 10th Anniversary Special is going to be aired in ABS-CBN’s Sunday’s Best on July 8.
