'Be Careful With My Heart' extended anew

Originally slated to run for just one season, daytime series Be Careful With My Heart is now on its 20th month, and counting.

According to the series' male lead, Richard Yap, BCWMH has been extended anew and its finale would be at the end of this year, that is, if ABS-CBN have not extended it again by then.

Be Careful With My Heart has been getting high ratings since it started airing in July 2012. Last month (February 2014), it ranked twelfth in Kantar Media's most-watched television programs list with an average national audience share of 19%.

Jodi Sta. Maria, the female lead, said they are all happy with the extension.

"Masaya kami, hindi ba, dahil patuloy kaming makakapag-bigay saya at inspirasyon sa mga tao. Natutuwa kami doon sa extension na binigay sa show," she told ABS-CBN News.

Because of the show, however, she hasn't been able to do other stuff she loves doing, like doing indie films.

"Nami-miss ko talagang gumawa ng indie films pero ngayon talaga walang mapaglagyan ng schedule, e. Actually, oras talaga 'yung problema ngayon," she said.

She spends what little free time she has with her family, especially with Thirdy, her son with erstwhile husband, Pampi Lacson. The actress said she spends quality time with her son traveling and going to beaches which they both love.
