Many were rooting for Ariella Arida to win the crown during the Miss Universe 2013 pageant last Saturday (Sunday, Manila time), and that includes Olivia Culpo who was last year's title holder.
Ara, who placed 3rd runner-up, revealed in Umagang Kay Ganda on Tuesday that Olivia immediately came up to her after crowning Miss Venezuela.
"Hey, girl, you were so great. I was rooting for you," Olivia said, according to Ara.
A lot of those who watched the live telecast actually thought the Philippines would emerge as the winner, especially after the final question which she nailed.
When asked what could be done about lack of jobs, Ara answered we should invest in education, which is also one of her advocacies.
Also, Ara was the only one who didn't use an interpreter as she answered in the English language. But that, I guess, doesn't matter at all.
In Umagang Kay Ganda, she was also asked about her love life and she said she still hasn't experienced having a boyfriend.
Before she flew to Russia for the pageant, she was seen dating actor-turned-politician-turned-professional basketball player, Ervic Vijandre. Ervic also defended her against Mo Twister when the radio DJ bashed her for allegedly talking bad against Latinas.
Ervic haven't said they're already a couple, though, but he is very vocal about his intentions with the beauty queen.
Well, perhaps we should ask Ara about her love life a month or two from now. Maybe then we can have a definite answer on the status of their relationship.
