Marian Rivera is set to do a new drama series on GMA-7. And while she’s excited about it, there are rumors saying she rejected Tom Rodriguez as her leading man.
Tom is currently being managed by Popoy Caritativo, who was Marian’s former manager. Talks also say that the actress doesn’t want to work not just with Tom but with anyone of Popoy’s talents.
Marian denied the rumors, saying she doesn’t even have a leading man in the upcoming series.
“Wala akong tinatanggihan,” she told pep.ph. “May kasama ako dito, bata. Hindi ganun kabata, pero wala talaga yung sinasabi na leading man ko. Hindi ko lang makuwento lahat kasi hindi pa puwede, pero walang sinabi sa akin na kasama si Tom.”
She also said that she has no idea where the rumor came from and that she’s not choosy when it comes to leading men.
“Hindi ko alam kung saan nanggagaling ‘yan, pero wala akong tinatanggihan,” she further said. “Okay naman sa akin kahit sino ang i-partner sa akin. Siguro sa susunod na soap, kami na ni Tom, tutal magkakilala naman kami.”
Meanwhile, Tom said in an earlier interview with pep.ph that he hopes the said rumor is not true as he doesn’t have any problems with Marian. It was his first time to hear about it so he chose not to comment.
