(Update) On early Monday morning, classes in all levels in the whole of Metro Manila have been suspended. Work in government offices, aside from those that are involved in relief and rescue operations, has also been cancelled and that includes the Senate. Likewise, other provinces in Luzon affected by the hard rain have also declared province-wide class suspension.
Due to non-stop heavy rains brought about by the Southwest Monsoon and Tropical Storm Maring, Local Government Units (LGUs) have announced suspension of classes for Monday, August 19, 2013.
Here’s the list of provinces that have No Classes on Aug. 19 (Monday):
All Levels:
- Bataan
- Batangas
- Benguet
- Bulacan
- Cavite
- Laguna
- Metro Manila
- Pampanga
- Pangasinan
- Rizal
- Tarlac
- Occidental Mindoro
- Zambales
Pre-school to Elementary:
- Ilocos Norte
- Ilocos Sur
- La Union
Offices:
- Bulacan Regional Trial Court - all hearings cancelled
- Metro Manila - government offices except those involved in relief and rescue operations
- Rodriguez, Rizal - government employees
