Sunshine Cruz has filed a case against former husband Cesar Montano.
The actress was seen at the Quezon City Regional Trial Court on Tuesday morning where she reportedly filed charges against her former husband under Republic Act 9262, more popularly known as the Anti-Violence against Women and their Children Act.
It was confirmed on Twitter by ABS-CBN News entertainment reporter Ginger Conejero.
“Sunshine Cruz arrives at QC RTC to file Anti Violence Against Women & Children case (RA 9262) vs Cesar Montano,” Ginger tweeted.
Despite Sunshine’s good words about Cesar in her Gandang Gabi Vice guesting last April, the Dugong Buhay actress recently took to Instagram to tell the 50-year-old actor to return their kids to her.
In the message which was deleted after a while, Sunshine revealed that Cesar was telling their kids that they would not see him again once they come back to their mom.
“Telling our children that they won’t be able to see you forever once they come back to me is PLAIN CRAZY. It’s been a week! Return them to me,” the post read.
Could the case Sunshine filed against Cesar on Tuesday be connected with the custody of their children?
The two separated last January after the actor got romantically linked to his then co-star Krista Miller. Sunshine also revealed that it was not the first time their relationship was put to test due to Cesar’s being linked to his co-workers.
