Piolo Pascual, Gerald Anderson and Joel Torre, stars of the movie On The Job, are featured on the three-fold cover of the August 2013 issue of Esquire Philippines magazine.
The covers are so timely with the local showing of the movie on August 28th. It has had a world premiere at the 2013 Canne’s Film Festival’s Director’s Fortnight last May.
On the cover, Esquire tagged On The Job as this year’s most anticipated film. And I totally agree on that as it wouldn’t receive an standing ovation at the Canne’s if it’s not any good.
Gerald Anderson plays a hit man in the movie, opposite Piolo Pascual’s NBI agent character. Of course, people would like to talk more about Gerald’s scandal photo, but this movie shouldn’t really be missed and it shows a different side of the controversial actor.
His character named Daniel is the apprentice of veteran killer named Mario/Tatang played by Joel Torre. They are hired by politicians to take care of their dirty businesses.
Of the three covers, I love Joel’s the most. Iconic. And there’s no denying that he still looks good despite the age. It’s just that we often see him unglamorous in his various characters that we somehow overlook how he still has that appeal.
Don’t forget to watch Erik Matti’s On The Job come Aug. 28th, and grab a copy of Esquire Ph Aug. 2013, available in leading stands nationwide.
