Nikki Gil doesn’t want to be interviewed regarding her recent break-up with Billy Crawford. On Saturday, however, Showbiz Inside Report revealed that the singer-actress sent them a text message as answer to their request for a statement regarding the much talked about separation.
“I wish him well,” the showbiz talk show quoted her as saying.
Short and devoid of bitterness for someone who is heartbroken. She could actually go granting interviews to every showbiz talk shows and bawl to get public sympathy, but she didn’t. And we admire her for that.
The controversial break-up happened two weeks ago. Billy had a live interview with Boy Abunda in The Buzz last Sunday where he said he’s the reason for the break-up and that he needs to find himself.
Billy also said there’s no third party involved, and eventually denied rumors that romantically links him to his It’s Showtime co-host Coleen Garcia.
Meanwhile, Gary Valenciano, who works with the ex-couple in ASAP, told SIR about Nikki’s breakdown when he recently offered her a hug.
“Sabi ko, ‘Hi, Nikki!’ I went like that,” said Gary. “And then she looked at me. Siguro alam niya na alam ko. Sabi ko, ‘Hey, let me give you a hug.’ Pag-akap ko sa kanya parang bumigay siya nang kaunti.”
