JC De Vera recently signed a two-year contract with ABS-CBN. He has been seen guesting in various Kapamilya shows, and his teleserye launch is coming soon.
In The Buzz on Sunday, JC mentioned that he will be joining the cast of the upcoming series topbilled by Angel Locsin, Jericho Rosales and Maja Salvador, and it is Dreamscape’s Hanggang Kailan Kita Mamahalin.
He said he’s still clueless as to whom he will be paired, but dropped the name of Maja as one of his crushes in the network.
Meanwhile, his former co-star in TV5’s Lokomoko, Tuesday Vargas, has expressed sadness over his network transfer.
“Wala kaming alam sa buong cast na may balak na pala siyang iwan kami sa show,” Tuesday told pep.ph. “Kasi noong anniversary pa ng Lokomoko, nandoon naman siya at ang saya-saya niya.”
Despite the surprise, the Talentadong Pinoy judge only had good words for the actor.
“Wala naman akong masasabing masama sa taong ‘yan. Mabait at napakasipag sa trabaho. Tsaka never siyang naging pasaway or naging problema sa taping namin,” she said.
She’s also supportive of JC’s career move.
“Kung ang paglipat ang naging desisyon niya, wala naman kaming magagawa. I wish him all the best. Kung ang paglipat sa ibang network ang magpapasaya sa kanya, he has my support.”
JC started his television career with GMA-7 where he was given lead roles in a number of shows. He and his then manager got involved in a little controversy with a GMA-7 executive, and he was seen eventually transferring to TV5.
Now that he’s with the Kapamilya Network, he has nowhere else to go unless he would want to go back to either of his past networks. But then again, he said being a Kapamilya is “a dream come true” so I guess he wouldn’t think of transferring networks again. At least for the near future.
