Gilas Pilipinas wins against Japan at 2nd round of 27th FIBA Asia

Gilas Pilipinas won against Japan on Monday at the second round of the ongoing 27th FIBA Asia Championship at the Mall of Asia (MoA) Arena with a score of 90-71. The Philippine national men’s basketball team now ranks 3rd in Group E, below Chinese Taipei and Qatar.

Marcus Douthit brought in the biggest points during the Monday game - 19 with 10 rebounds and 3 assists. Jeff Chan also did well with 16 points, followed by LA Tenorio and Ranidel De Ocampo who got 9 points each.

Meanwhile, Gilas needs to win another game in order to qualify for the quarterfinals. They will next be facing the Qatar team on Tuesday and the Hong Kong team on Wednesday.
