Actress Sunshine Cruz was raped by former husband, Cesar Montano on Mother’s Day. It was one of the reasons why she filed charges against Cesar at the Quezon City Regional Trial Court on Tuesday morning.
Sunshine was accompanied by her legal counsel, Atty. Bonifacio Alentajan at the QC RTC when she filed a complaint under the Anti-Violence against Women and their Children Act.
According to the Dugong Buhay actress, she was alone last May 12 when Cesar “barged” into her house and “violently attacked her, employed physical violence and raped” her.
Sunshine also described the 50-year-old actor as “a very domineering, philandering husband” who demanded her “full submission and obedience.”
Aside from that, Sunshine said she hasn’t seen her daughters since July 29.
“Bilang tatay siya ng mga anak ko, as much as possible, we want to protect the person. But since the 29th, hindi ko na rin nakita ang mga anak ko. Hindi ko alam kung bakit ganun kaya I decided to do this already,” she said.
Days ago, Sunshine posted on Instagram a message to Cesar telling him to return the kids. “Telling our children that they won’t be able to see you forever once they come back to me is PLAIN CRAZY. It’s been a week! Return them to me,” the post, which had been deleted after a while, read.
She doesn’t prohibit the kids from seeing Cesar. She even said that she allows him to get them whenever she has work.
“Pero hindi na niya sinauli, puro tomorrow, tomorrow,” she said. “‘Yung tomorrow na ‘yun tumagal na nang tumagal hanggang sa I realized na he’s not going to give back my kids.”
The two separated in January, at the height of the controversy romantically linking Cesar to his then co-star Krista Miller.
On Tuesday, Sunshine said that their daughters read the text messages of Krista and their father, and they even saw Cesar receive a sexy photo of the starlet on his phone.
Weeks prior to the filing of the case, Sunshine has already sought court protection against Cesar, prohibiting him to come 300 meters near her.
