Baguio City was hit by a magnitude 4.5 earthquake on Monday afternoon, February 4, 2013.
According to Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), the earthquake occurred at exactly 3:16:05pm. The epicenter was traced 13 kilometers (km) southeast of Baguio City.
It was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 12 km.
The earthquake was felt in Baguio City at Intensity 5, resulting to the immediate suspension of classes.
It was also felt at Intensity 2 in Agoo and San Fernando both in La Union.
Phivolcs said in its bulletin that no damage or aftershock is expected.
